Size: Small Creature
Fangren people may be taller on average than the rest of the small folk of the Beanut Lands when standing straight, but most of them have developed less upright posture due to their lifestyles requiring hunching, climbing, and crawling, which further diminishes their noticeability and height.

Life Span
The shortest-lived of the Sylvan people, (though still at least a solid century longer than the next longest, non-Sylvans) it is suspected that the unforgiving environment of the Nettle Forest is to blame for the shorter lifespans of the Fangren. This has also seemed to invariably change their aging process in a peculiar way. While Fangren tend to grow into adulthood as other Sylvans do, once reaching adulthood their aging process seems to halt entirely. That is, until much later in their life, at which point their physical bodies begin to age rapidly. This has lead to many native Fangren beliefs around the cycle of life and death, particularly strange rituals for the final act of a Fangren’s life.
This biological curiosity means that many of the practices are honored by Fangren worldwide, even by those who are not brought up in Fangren culture. It also unfortunately means that, as many of the Fangren live in a very wild and dangerous Land and are not lucky enough to reach the twilight of their lives, very few elderly Fangren people exist in the world, and even fewer are known to be a part of society.

Crittershift
You may make a unique test [
SAV: 9] to adopt a minor physical aspect of an animal or natural organism from one of your Culture’s native ecosystems. The change takes at least 3 hours. More noticeable or intricate details may increase the Difficulty or time required to complete the change.
This characteristic does not grant any additional features or abilities, unless otherwise specified by your DM.
Societally Resentful
Being isolated from greater societies of people has affected the Fangren’s ability to truly connect with outside cultures. Their prickly nature has made it difficult to force themselves to engage with practices that do not benefit their personal goals or interests.
