‎ ‎The Tok people are a cultural supergroup that consists of some of the oldest known surviving cultures in the Beanut Empire. Growing out of the ‘Old World’, the primal wildlands of the east, the Tok people now inhabit a majority of the continent and their cultures have significant influence across the lands.
‎ ‎The Torgali, the oldest surviving branch of the Tok people, have resided in the densely thicketed Torgali Jungle for many centuries and have built civilizations around ancient structures still in use today. During historical times of trouble, many ancient Tok clans took to adventuring outside of their presumed world, far into the deserts and tundras of the continent. After centuries of adapting to their new homelands, these people diverged from the greater Tok into the Canzian people of the deserts and the Lovalians of the northern mountains. The strangest of the Tok people are the Dawi, whose origin story is convoluted and shrouded in mystery, but they come from a clan of Tok people who discovered the ruins of a great civilization and committed fully to adopting the culture and ways of these long lost people.

Torgali

‎These imposing people are strong, crafty, and follow their ancient traditions with great reverence. They can be found primarily in the eastern Torgali Jungle and the surrounding lands, but a few do venture out into what they consider the “New World.” The Torgali are the most physically similar to their ancient Tok ancestors.

Canzians

‎Thriving in the sweltering southern portion of the Beanut Lands, these people with feline characteristics are great natural hunters, herders, and all-around survivalists. Some communities of these people do live outside the Sizzling Sands, many still honoring their clan’s values. Those who do leave the desert are renown for their good manners and impressive mercantile skills.

Lovalians

‎Once the most influential group of people in the Lands, the Lovalians created the first written records and boasted the first formally recognized monarchy in the world, but these towering northern folk have become much less involved in the warmer world’s events in recent centuries. Those who take pride in their culture often seek enlightenment through meditation and routine, spending their lives in quiet solitude.

Dawi

‎As a whole, these stocky and brash people like to focus their energy on a mix of both physical and intellectual pursuits. The Dawi are so devoted to their love for the “Ancients’ Way” that they hardly come down from their homeland, the floating islands of Danuvica. Occasionally you may see an archaeologist or librarian on the surface.

Faekin

‎It’s unknown when the Faekin first came to the Beanut Lands, but they have lived in their western Glen for as long as they can remember. Considering their extensive life spans, that is quite a long time. Though the majority of these flying people stick to their unbelievably beautiful homeland, there are also significant Faekin communities in the Grimlands and the Heartlands. It is very rare to see them in other lands. Indeed, there are some areas of the Beanut Lands where people even doubt their existence.

Willonians

‎Willonians are nearly impossible to categorize in any general terms, since they are found everywhere in the world, doing just about everything. Though they are historically the newest people recorded to establish settlements in the Beanut Lands, they are mostly renown as a whole for their immense ambition, ingenuity, and industrial proficiency. The largest communities of Willonians are found in their home Land of Willonia, as well as the Imperial Crownlands and the Heartlands.

‎Once the primary group of people in the central Beanut Lands, the Hinfolk were forced out of their original homeland by the ever-growing number of oversized, vicious creatures. After this mass-migration of the Hinfolk, many of them settled in the hills and steppes to the south between the green fields and the desert. Even more so than their Willonian bretheren, they have a taste for adventure, a wanderlust that entices them to live in areas all across the continent.

Cheerful and confident, the underground populace of the Grimkin have spread out deep into the caves and tunnels inside the western half of the Lovalian Mountains, all the way to the rain-slicked basalt cliffs of the Stormlands. Deeply enshrouded in their very unique religion and culture, the majority of Grimkin prefer the small and sacred caverns of their homeland, however these people have established many communities in other Lands.
