Trader’s Cant Language

Trader’s Cant:
Masters of communication and trade, the Hin would never let something as simple as grammar and nuance impede their abilities to optimally trade with each other; enter the minimal and coded language of Trader’s Cant. Only containing the necessary words, and lacking a formal grammatical system, Hin merchants rely on this language to speak with each other about products and customers right in front of them. The language is so stripped and swiftly spoken that despite its similarity to older forms of Common, the language is basically unintelligible to someone who hasn’t had their ear trained to understand the rapid nature of the language. While the language has primarily only been spoken by Hin merchants, the ever growing frequency of mixed culture trading companies mean the language has begun to diffuse into other mercantile peoples, namely the Silkskins and Adoptists.
